UNIT 4 – Skills assessment and adaptation to labour market Description Unit 4 focuses on the need of assessing the skills gained by TCN female migrants through volunteering in European countries with the final aim of supporting them in their integration into labour market. To this purpose, this unit will provide voluntary organisations, NGOs and social workers with useful tips and tools to undergo assessment processes with their volunteers, supporting them in the process of linking the acknowledged competencies with the professional profiles required by the labour market. Learning Outcomes After the completion of Unit 4, you will be capable of: - Designing procedures for skills assessment of volunteers - Supporting in an effective way volunteers in their self-assessment - Providing useful tools to enhance skills assessment processes - Guiding female migrant volunteers to transfer gained skills to labour market - Signposting national resources to support job search Also, you will have developed/improved the following skills related to the competence addressed by the specific unit: - Social & Legal Support & Guidance - Certification of existing skills - Interviewing - Skills identification and analysis - Self-awareness and Confidence building - Goal setting - Assessment and mentoring skills - Planning
