SMART Volunteering_Learner Pack- NGOs
Detailed description of the activity For the closure of the unit and the work we’ve done together, we would like to invite you to develop a new ID card. Work your imagination and creative resources to present yourself! Aim of the activity : The aim of this activity is to develop creativity, and to allows participants to really find themselves, and to highlight and reflect on what they believe defines them. Preparation: We can start by throwing a ball at each other that contains questions, and the person receiving it must answer the question he or she has shot, for example: what is my role model in the media? A word that defines me? How old am I in my head? I am not a person..., have I built myself with the positive things or the negative things that have happened to me? And so on… Instructions: Our identity card is supposed to be our representation, but it does not really represent us, just eye colour, age, surnames, first names, country of origin...Just some physical or geographical elements. How to transform it into our image? Invite participants to create their personal identity papers (30 min) Ask them to form a circle and present their work one after the other. Debrief: Was it hard to find an idea to define their-selves? Was it hard to make it? Type of activity Face to face, individual (and share in group) Duration (in minutes) 75 minutes Materials needed Different types of paper with different colors, glue, scissors, scotch, magazines, speakers to put some music during the activity for the inspiration… Name of the activity : Create your new ID Card Module : Unit 3 – Soft Skills for social integration
