Detailed description of the activity Aim of the activity: This activity has a “ double aim ”. - The first one is to develop or to increase the communication skills of the participants . The concept is that a fluid , memorable and effective communication that connects the audience should have every color present on the rainbow . Speak with the colors of the rainbow to build a speech that will captivate the audience ! Explain that each color corresponds to an important key element to introduce in their speech , and the communication will then be easier for them . Successful speaking requires trust . Public speaking is about engaging your identity . - The second one is to use this rainbow tool to identify the internal resources of the participants and allow public to help each speaker to find their resources also . Don ’ t hesitate to value the paths of each one , to see their capacity of creativity , that they are able to identify their resources , to regain self - confidence … This exercise develops the mutual help to find skills that the participant who tell the story had not estimated before . The objective is that each one tells her personal experience of a failure and how they were able to bounce back from that failure . As this way , we can work on the resilience of each person to overcome obstacles , and help them to regulate emotions , strengthen social relations , take a positive viewpoint and face challenges . Steps and instructions: Step 1: Explain to the participants the concept of the rainbow speech . Do you speak the rainbow ? For a memorable presentation , it is necessary to combine several elements , and add some “ colour ” to make your audience aware . These are the ideas of the feelings you should share : RED - EMOTION ( Stories , Love , Anger , Secrets ...) The past ! ORANGE - ENERGY ( Dynamism , power , presence , living ) The present !
